The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service reported the following occurrence:
The international shipment was returned to the sender due to the absence of a description of the contents or the submission of insufficient information in the air waybill.
This inconsistency made it impossible to correctly identify the goods and, consequently, to properly process the tax treatment in the Import Declaration for Postal Shipments.
We advise that, in future shipments, the description of the items be provided in a complete, detailed manner and be compatible with the transported contents, in order to avoid further returns or delays in the customs clearance process.
